Talent Lead

We are looking for a talent lead to join our growing team in Playa Vista, CA.
If you are a builder, this is your dream role. You’ll be thinking as a “grand architect” for talent – creating and driving processes for building teams repeatedly as well as crafting organizational structures that are efficient and flexible. You’ll create and execute strategies to build the funnel for the firm and across our entire portfolio. You’ll be a champion of our culture, a mouthpiece for our organization, a front-person to the community, and a service-oriented partner for those in our talent pipeline.
What you’ll do
• champion the talent function and processes
• help craft organizational structures that may include dynamic utilization across ventures
• build relationships with the community – tactically engage for both short and long term hiring goals
• strategically source the best candidates for a variety of roles from CEOs to interns
• define, measure, analyze, improve – you’ll set KPIs for our talent funnel and seek continuous improvement
• data based strategy – you have methodologies to source talent at scale
• craft a best in class candidate experience built upon respect
• work with firm and new venture leaders to engage in consistent, unbiased hiring processes
• help develop and scale our culture
What you have
• proactive nature - as we grow, more and more talent will come to us, but we always keep an eye out for new talent
• ability to command attention - your opinion is respected and people value their time with you regardless of immediate outcomes
• honesty - you understand the opportunities we can present and can help candidates determine for themselves if the fit is right
• experience in a fast paced “venture scale” environment
• resilience – long term thinking and the ability to see through immediate challenges
• high EQ – you make an effort to understand people, purposefully engaging them in ways that surface their needs
• “hacker ethos” – knowing the difference between efficiency gains and cutting corners and can smoothly operate in an early stage environment
• 4+ years of experience in building teams, talent acquisition processes
